REMOTE CONTENT / SETUP
Your first import.
Step by step.
Install Free.
Install and activate Remote Content Shortcode from WordPress.org. Use the plugin documentation for release requirements, source installation and the full option reference.
Choose the source and content.
Add the Remote content block to a post or page. Enter a source URL and a CSS selector for the elements to include, then preview the result. Remove unwanted elements before selection and enable URL rewriting when relative links or images need to point back to the source.
You can also use the [remote_content] shortcode. Only import sources you have permission to reproduce. Public GET responses can be cached, and imported HTML is sanitized before display.
Set up authenticated sources.
Manage named Basic, Bearer or API-key connections under Tools → Remote content. Reference a connection by its alias instead of putting credentials in a post or page.
Install Pro alongside Free.
Pro adds saved sources, JSON templates, OAuth connections, scheduled refreshes and refresh history. It requires Free 2.0 or later, WordPress 6.6 or later and PHP 8.2 or later.
If you have a Pro installation ZIP, upload it through Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, activate it alongside Free, and open Remote content to manage your sources. Follow the license guide to enable authorized updates.
